Timothy S. Van Asten, 69, Flintville, died peacefully Tuesday morning, August 13, 2019, at his home surrounded by his family. The son of the late Greg and Janet (Kempen) Van Asten was born January 4, 1950, in Rudolph. The family moved to Krakow in 1956. Timm was a graduate of Premontre High School and attended college at UWGB, where he met the love of his life, Jane Greenwood. They were married August 16, 1975, at UWGB and made their home in the Flintville area. He retired from the family business, Van Asten’s Plumbing and Heating in Pulaski.

Timm was a kind and loving husband, dad, son, and brother who was very proud of his Dutch heritage. He loved spending time with his family, and especially enjoyed fishing and hunting. Music was a big part of his life. He started playing guitar in high school and continued until he didn’t have the strength to hold his guitar any longer. Timm was an avid bird “feeder,” accomplished wood worker, and prolific gardener.

Survivors include his wife, Jane; three brothers: Tony (Faye) Van Asten, Suamico, Brian (Diane) Van Asten, Pulaski, and Greg (Julie) Van Asten, Krakow; one sister, Tina (Al) Wagner, Suamico; a sister-in-law, Mary Greenwood, Green Bay; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Kyle Van Asten, in 2012; parents, Greg and Janet Van Asten; one brother, Patrick Van Asten; Jane’s brothers and sister: John, Wayne, Bill, and Peggy.

The Funeral Service was celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 17th at the Suamico United Methodist Church, Pastor Jerry Cho officiating.
