Stephanie (Kubasik) Matuszewski, 103, Little Suamico, passed away, Sunday, June 27, 2021, at Grancare Assisted Living Facility, Green Bay. The daughter of Stanley and Victoria (Kobylarczyk) Kubasik was born August 18, 1917, in Chicago, IL.

Stephanie married John “Jack” Matuszewski, October 12, 1940, in Chicago. Together they operated a farm in Little Suamico and raised two children. She also worked for Larsen Co. and Treasure City for many years.  Stephanie enjoyed farming and loved animals. She tended to her garden and flowers which were always immaculate. Her favorite things to do were picking berries and mushrooms with Jack and canning everything. Her specialty was making pierogi, which the family loved.

Stephanie always loved being with her family and friends and liked having company over. She was blessed with seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Stephanie is survived by her son, John Matuszewski; a daughter, Rita (Mike) Bostedt; seven grandchildren and their families: Dan (Brenda) Matuszewski and their daughter, Danielle; Donald Matuszewski; Mick (Lisa) Matuszewski and their children, Mickey Lee and Megan; Matt (Kim) Matuszewski and their sons, Liam, Emmett and Everett; Mindy Matuszewski and her daughter, Cyana Soung; Mike (Stacy) Bostedt and their children, Sara and Alex; and Robert (Kelly) Bostedt and their children, Jack, Haley and Cole; and a sister-in-law, Arlene Matuszewski.

In addition to her husband Jack and parents, she was preceded in death by her two sisters: Helen (John) Pogewist and Ann (Walter) Galkowski; her brothers: Joe (Evelyn) Kubasik and Frank (Wanda) Kubasik; brothers and sisters-in-law: Frank (Rose) Mathews; Joe (Lillian) Matuszewski; Stanley (Lucille) Matuszewski; Leo Matuszewski; Pete (Stella) Mathews; Viola (Walter) Cybulski; Vicky (Ed) Chromy; and Frances (Ed) Trojan; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Matuszewski; and a great-grandson, Andrew Bostedt.

Friends are invited to gather with family at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, 6051 Noble St., Sobieski, on Wednesday, June 30, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Francis Nusi presiding. Burial will follow in St. John Cantius Cemetery, Sobieski.

Stephanie’s family would like to extend a genuine thank you to the entire staff at Grancare Assisted Living and the Compassus Hospice Team for the exceptional care provided to her.
