Sandra D. Dooley, 76, Pulaski, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, September 18, 2021, at her home. The daughter of James and Ethel (Sipher) Whitehorn, was born June 2, 1945, in Racine.
Sandy grew up in the Racine area and graduated from Parkside High School. She married Mike Dooley on February 6, 1965, in Racine. The couple moved to Northeastern Wisconsin in 1969. Sandy drove bus for the Pulaski Area School District, was employed at Pulaski Chase Co-Op, and had worked at Super Ron’s until her retirement.
Sandy enjoyed cooking, trying new recipes, and watching cooking shows. She also enjoyed traveling and camping in St. Germain. Sandy loved going out to eat at various restaurants; most of all, she loved spending time with her family and talking to people.
Survivors include her four children: Chris (Andy) Van Gheem, Pulaski and their children, Aaron (significant other Tara) and Taylor (significant other, Ian); Mike (Cindy) Dooley, De Pere, and their sons, Dylan and Gavin; Lisa Dooley, Pulaski; and Cheryl (Chad) Matuszak, Seymour, and their sons, Jordan (Tyler) and Jaden. She is further survived by two nieces and a nephew.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mike.
Per Sandy’s wishes, private family services will be held.
