Phyllis M. Betley, 81, of Pulaski, passed away, Friday, October 14, 2022, at Country Villa Assisted Living in Pulaski. The daughter of Anthony and Mary Blizniak was born on February 28, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois.

At a young age, Phyllis moved to the Pulaski area and graduated from Pulaski High School. She married Robert Betley in August of 1960, at Assumption B.V.M. Church in Pulaski. In her younger years, she enjoyed serving the customers at her father’s bar. Phyllis was always looking for a bargain and liked to frequent rummage sales. She also enjoyed taking pictures and videos of family. Family was everything to her and she would give the shirt off her back to help anyone.

Phyllis is survived by her children: Steven (Christy) Betley, Appleton, Debbie (Dave) Olson, NC, Chrissy (Dan) Magnin, Howard; eight grandchildren; her sister, Leona Ryba; and a brother-in-law: Raymond Betley.

In addition to her husband Bob, she was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Mary Blizniak; her daughter, Kathryn Betley; a twin sister, Patsy (John) Blazei; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Stanley and Mary Betley; half siblings: Sophie, Irene, and Joe; brothers-in-law: Erwin (Lorraine) Betley and Leonard Ryba; and a sister-in-law, Evelyn (Joseph) Rovinski.

Friends are invited to gather with family at Assumption B.V.M. Church, 119 E. Pulaski St., Pulaski, from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, October 22. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. with Fr. Michael Betley presiding. Guests will be invited to a luncheon in the church basement following Mass. Interment will take place in Assumption B.V.M. Cemetery, Pulaski.
