Nita “Petee” Bierhals, 64, Pulaski, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Thursday, February 23, 2023, at her home following a courageous battle with cancer. The daughter of Doris (Roskom) Geer was born September 27, 1958, and was a 1976 graduate of Pulaski High School.
On August 15, 1981, Nita married Gail Bierhals at Peace Lutheran Church in Kunesh. The couple made their home and raised their family in the Town of Lessor. Nita had been employed at Carver/Marquis in Pulaski for 39 years.
Nita was a well-known seamstress in the area, a skill she picked up from her grandma. She was happy to pass that same love and skill to her granddaughters. Family gatherings were very special to her. She liked spending time up north, where she enjoyed watching the deer, the pretty sunsets, and listening to the loons. Her labs held a special place in her heart.
Survivors include her husband, Gail; their four children: Steve (Karrie) Bierhals, Pulaski, Tammy (Tim) Arvey, Green Bay, Josh (Debby) Bierhals, Krakow, and Jeremy (Stephanie Bartlett) Bierhals, Pulaski; 12 grandchildren: Lydia, Ethan, Wyatt, and Stella, Elizabeth and Cameron, Tristen, Payten, Gaven, and Britten, and Lucas and Berkley; her mother: Doris Geer, Shawano; a brother: Randy Geer, Shawano; two sisters: Victoria Timreck, Fond du Lac and Laurie (Pat) Johnson, Pulaski; Gail’s siblings: Bonnie Kraning, Pulaski, Gene (Adriane) Bierhals, Pulaski, Bruce Bierhals, Oneida, Don (Shelly) Bierhals, Pulaski, and Sandy Bierhals, Pulaski; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Nita was preceded in death by one brother, David Geer, and three brothers-in-law: Ronald Timreck, Carl Bierhals, and Pete Kraning.
Friends are invited to gather with the family at Marnocha Funeral Home, 186 E. Pulaski St., Pulaski, from 4 – 7 p.m. Monday, March 6th. The Funeral Service will be celebrated at 7:00 p.m at the funeral home, Rev. Brad Pearson officiating.
