Kevin J. Czarniak, 65, Krakow, died peacefully, March 17, 2023, at Wyndemere Memory Care following a long illness. The son of Michael, Jr. and Grace (Baranczyk) Czarniak was born August 6, 1957, in Green Bay.
Kevin lived on the family farm, eventually taking it over and carrying on the family tradition. He raised cattle, spent time working on projects in the machine shed, and cash cropped until his illness wouldn’t allow him to continue.
Kevin loved hunting and went as often as he could. Many of his fondest memories were hunting with his buddies, Mike Presl and Billy Wolf, Sr. When he was no longer able to hunt, Kevin would drive out on his land, where he would spend time watching for deer and enjoying nature.
After many emergency room visits and hospital stays, he made his final home at Wyndemere Memory Care in Green Bay.
He will be sadly missed by his mother, Grace Czarniak, Forest Glen, Seymour; a brother, Ken Czarniak, Green Bay; sister, Karen (Dan) Sweere, Oneida; and his niece, April Stevenson (special friend, Trevor Marcks), Howard.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Michael Czarniak, Jr.; and longtime friends: Mike Presl, Billy Wolf, Sr., and David Ruatti.
Friends are invited to gather with the family at Assumption B.V.M. Church, 119 E. Pulaski St., Pulaski, on Saturday, March 25, from 9-11 a.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. with Fr. Carmen Scuderi, O.F.M. presiding. Burial will take place in the spring in St. Casimir Cemetery, Krakow.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Green Bay Health Services, Wyndemere Memory Care staff for their wonderful care, and Moments Hospice, especially Alexis: you are an angel. We would also like to thank Oneida Public Transit, which made Grace’s visits to see her son possible. We couldn’t have given Kevin the best care possible if not for these people. Your kindness and generosity will never be forgotten.
