
Kenneth “Ken” Splitgerber, 63, of Pittsfield, passed away peacefully but unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, January 15, 2023. He was born January 30, 1959, to the late George and Irene (Johnson) Splitgerber.
Ken worked as a truck driver for many years, including for 7-Up Corporation, Atlas Cold Storage, and Fed-Ex Freight, from which he retired in 2019. Most recently, he worked part-time back in the saddle for JW Enterprises.
Ken was an avid outdoorsman and shared many adventures with his wife and son, which included fishing trips, exploring Arizona, riding his Harley anywhere, snowmobiling, or taking his Corvette Stingray for a spin. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and pheasant hunting with his beloved Labradors.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Kerr; a son, Bryan (Hana), Rochester, MN; a grandson, Benjamin; his step-son, Steven Schneider; two step-grandchildren: Cloe and Donald; his three sisters: Ruth (Ken) Peot, Green Bay; Nancy Lindenberg, Green Bay; and Mary (Jaime) Reinke, Denmark; his brothers-in-law: Myron Karcz, Pulaski and Bob (Susan) Kerr, Levenworth, KS; his sister-in-law, Bonnie Kerr, and his very special fur babies, Michonne “Momo” and Willie.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Karcz; brothers-in-law: Fred Lindenburg and Dan Parmentier; and his in-laws, Donald and Zilpha Kerr.
Friends are invited to gather for a Celebration of Ken’s life at Scollys Hometown, 149 W. Pulaski St., Pulaski, on Saturday, January 28, beginning at 2 p.m.
