Lorraine Stepien, 85, Sampson, passed away, Friday, July 2, 2021, at Maple Crest Assisted Living, Pulaski. The daughter of Stanley and Frances (Kabara) Stepien was born January 9, 1936. She was the eighth of twelve children.
Lorraine worked at Sharpe Nursing Home in Oconto Falls and Aspiro in Green Bay. She enjoyed her friends at the Salvation Army and Curative Care. Her favorite van drivers were Dick and Don. Lorraine had a great love of nature, gardening, birds, lawn cutting and animals, especially lambs and goats. She watched Packer games and shared a birthday with Bart Starr. Lorraine was active in many crafts and always made things for her family members. She baked cakes and cupcakes for holidays and birthdays.
Lorraine is survived by her siblings: Lloyd Stepien; Dennis (Joanne) Stepien; Jerry (Dottie) Stepien; Bonnie (Dick) McDermid; and Tom (Diane) Stepien; and her sister-in-law, Marion Stepien.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Frances Stepien; siblings: Julie (Bob) Heinzen; Sister Dolorice (formerly Stephanie) Stepien; Louis Stepien; Sophie (Donald) Kraszewski; and Florence (Frank) Kowalkowski; and Marie (Ben) Schoenborn, and a sister-in-law, Dottie Stepien.
Friends are invited to gather with the family at Assumption B.V.M. Church, 125 E. Pulaski St., Pulaski, Friday, July 9, from 10-11 a.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. with Fr. Carmen Scuderi, O.F.M. presiding. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chase.
The family would like to thank the caring staff at Maple Crest for their compassionate and dedicated care of Lorraine; blessings to you all. She felt at home and became family.
