Gary E. Elsner, 68, De Pere and formerly of Pulaski, died Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay. The son of Ervin and Dorothy (Babcock) Elsner was born June 24, 1953, in Green Bay.
Gary grew up in Pulaski and graduated from Pulaski High School with the class of 1972. He married Lisa Robinson on July 31, 2010. She preceded him in death on July 20, 2013. Gary worked as a cheesemaker at Frigo Cheese in Lena most of his life and then in maintenance at Oneida Casino until his retirement in 2013. Gary enjoyed listening to Elvis, woodworking, fishing, and spending time with his friends at Cropsey’s Bar. He was always there to lend a hand to anyone who needed it.
Gary is survived by his four children: Scott (Sarita) Elsner, De Pere. Melanie (Erik) Leonhardt, Abrams, Todd Elsner (Angie Schwartz), Green Bay, and Brandon (Amy) Elsner, Cecil; his six grandchildren: Tyler, Mathew, Carston, Caden, Hanna and Hailey; his siblings: Joyce Bierhals, Green Bay, Tom (Dawn) Elsner, Pulaski, and Debbie (Joe) Van Hout, Green Bay; his four legged companions, George and Ziggy; and many nieces, nephews and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
Friends are invited to gather with the family on Monday, October 4, at Marnocha Funeral Home, 186 E. Pulaski St., Pulaski, from 3-6 p.m. with a Funeral Service at 5:30 p.m. A private family burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery, Laney.
