Duane A. Naumann, 78, Green Valley, died unexpectedly as the result of a major heart event Thursday, January 28, 2021, at his home. The son of the late Elmer and Frieda (Koehler) Naumann was born September 16, 1942, in Green Valley. Duane graduated from Pulaski High School in 1960, and worked on the family farm all of his life.
A bit of an introvert, Duane loved being around his family, content to sit quietly and observe the goings-on. He enjoyed farming and especially like taking care of his cows. His nieces and nephews held a special place in his heart.
Survivors include a brother: Elmer Naumann, Angelica; two sisters: Mavis (Ken) Eggert, Green Valley and Joanne Milis, Kimberly; nieces and nephews, including Kathy (Leonard) Ambrosius, Amanda, Andrew, and Eric, with whom he made his home; a sister-in-law: Julie Naumann, and a brother-in-law: Kenneth Voelz.
Duane was preceded in death by three brothers: Howard (Leora) Naumann, Morris Naumann, and James (Judy) Naumann; three sisters: Alice Voelz, Doris (Willard) Kumm, and Judy Ann (Sherman) Radtke; a sister-in-law: Judith Naumann; and two nephews and a niece who were a special part of his life: David Milis, Jim Kumm, and Nancy Lenz.
Friends are invited to gather with the family at Marnocha Funeral Home in Pulaski from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3. The Funeral Service will be celebrated at 3:00 p.m., Fr. James Gannon, O.F.M. officiating. Burial will take place in St. John Catholic Cemetery, Gillett.
Guests will be required to properly wear a mask and respect social distancing guidelines at all times.
Since it might not be possible to be with the family in person, you are welcome to send any cards of condolence to the funeral home (make sure you put the family’s name on the outside envelope and your return address) and we will forward your cards and messages to the Naumann family.
