Dorothy J. Ullmer, 95, Pulaski, died peacefully at home on August 22, 2021, surrounded by her family, following a brief illness. She was the last surviving child of George and Susan (Dunks) LeMere, born on December 8, 1925, in Oneida.

On June 9th 1951, she married James R. Ullmer at St. John the Baptist Church in Howard. She was a dedicated farm housewife all of her life on the couple’s family farm in Pittsfield. Dorothy was a member of Ss. Edward and Isidore Parish, Flintville and was an active member of the Altar Rosary Society and Funeral Hospitality Committee.

Dorothy found pleasure in the simple things in life. She was most proud of her family and supported them in all they did. She worked hard on the family farm doing chores daily up until last year! She was an avid Brewers fan. We were so blessed that Dorothy had the sharpest mind right up till the end and loved sharing her memories with all of us.

Dorothy is survived by her three sons: James (Debra) Ullmer, Pulaski; Tim (Angela) Ullmer; Shreveport, LA, and Phillip Ullmer (special friend Melissa Kolbe), Pulaski. Dorothy is further survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren: Nathan (Renee) Ullmer and their children Jacqueline, Reanna (Ryan) Hynes and Tucker; Ryler Hoida; Jessica (Adam) Gwidt and their children Michael and Maggie; Stacy (Sam) Thomas and their children Hadley, Laney and Briar; Andrea (Josh) Ragen, all of Pulaski; Katelyn (Shane) Reed and their children Brighton, Marian, and baby Woods arriving soon, Tuscaloosa, AL; Stephanie (Ben) Smith and their children, Landry, Harrison and Benjamin, Shreveport, LA; Drew (Angelle) Ullmer, New Orleans, LA. She is also survived by her brother in law, Emmet Exford.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, James R. Ullmer, on January 30, 2005; her brothers: Harold (Kathleen) LeMere, Robert (Betty) LeMere, Bernard (Midge) LeMere; sisters: Marion (Donald) Landwehr and Helen Exford; and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

The Funeral Mass was livestreamed and can be found on the Ss. Edward & Isidore Parish Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/Ss-Edward-Isidore-Church-562136803967841

Dorothy was laid to rest in Ss. Edward and Isidore Parish Cemetery.

A special heartfelt thank you from the family to Unity Hospice, the staff of Bellin Hospital 8th floor, and Dr. Do for their care of Dorothy in her final days. Our family is so blessed to have had Stacy and Angela care for Grandma so she could be comfortable at home in her final hours.
