Diane Marie De Meuse, 75, Pittsfield, passed away peacefully at home with her husband at her side on Saturday, August 14, 2021, following a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. The daughter of Domingo and Rosemary (Glass) Bongle was born April 5, 1946, in Sturgeon Bay.
Diane grew up in Sturgeon Bay and graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School with the class of 1964. On July 15, 1967, she married Jerry De Meuse at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sturgeon Bay. Diane worked as a secretary for her husband’s construction company until her retirement. She was a faithful member of Ss. Edward & Isidore Parish for over 20 years. Diane enjoyed bowling, camping, going to country music festivals, and socializing with people. She was a season ticket holder and an avid Packers fan. Most of all, Diane loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Diane is survived by her loving husband, Jerry, Pittsfield; two daughters: Lori (Brian) Frank, Pittsfield and Michelle (Dan) Ihler, Pulaski; her six grandchildren: Michael Moore, Winneconne; Rachel Moore, Green Bay; Dylan (Jessica) Ihler, Green Bay; Karissa (Ben) Ramsey, Pillager, MN; Travis Ihler, Pulaski and Trevor Ihler, Pulaski; two brothers: Dennis (Yvonne) Bongle, Luxemburg and Dan (Joyce) Bongle, Ft. Atkinson. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law: Judy (Brian) Orthorber, Sturgeon Bay; Jim (Diane) De Meuse, Luxemburg; Kenny (Barb) De Meuse, Egg Harbor; Joe De Meuse, Sturgeon Bay; Dan De Meuse, Stevens Point and Larry De Meuse (special friend Pam) Sturgeon Bay; and many nieces, nephews and close friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, David Bongle; and a sister-in-law, Maggie De Meuse.
Friends are invited to gather with the family on Friday, August 20, from 9a.m. until 12 noon at Ss. Edward & Isidore Parish, 3667 Flintville Rd., Suamico. The Funeral Mass will take place at 12 noon at the church with Fr. David Hoffman presiding. Entombment will be in Nicolet Memorial Gardens, Green Bay.
