Barbara J. “Jeanie” Nelson, 75, Pulaski, passed away peacefully at home Sunday, February 7, 2021, with her loving husband at her side. The daughter of the late Bernard and Joyce (Coopman) Wagner was born January 7, 1946, in Green Bay. On June 20, 1964, she married Kermit Nelson in Kunesh. Jeanie worked as a waitress for many years, but mostly was a wonderful stay-at-home mom.
Jeanie enjoyed sewing, crocheting, woodworking and canvas stitching; the grandkids received many blankets and quilts as gifts. Those same kids made sure she always had the largest stacks of Christmas gifts under the tree. She enjoyed throwing darts, fishing, and deer hunting. She also enjoyed traveling with her sister, Judy; their favorite trip together included a visit to Dollywood. There was a special place in her heart for horses, cats, and dogs, especially Ginger.
Survivors include her husband, Kermit; her children: Brenda (Trent) Nelson, Markesan and Julie (Chris) Borzych, Pulaski; grandchildren: Melissa (Tim) Reh, Heather Blohowiak, and Ashley (Jermain) Adams; great-grandchildren: Javon, Meghan, and Ariah; her sister: Judy Waite, Florence; her brother: Rick (Chris) Wagner, Pulaski; brothers-in-law: Wayne (Ardella) Nelson and Glen (Judy) Nelson, all of Shiocton; sisters-in-law: Diane Wagner, Green Bay, and Gloria Nelson, Black Creek; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Jeanie was preceded in death by her in-laws: Lee and Florence Nelson; a brother: Tom Wagner; and a brother-in-law: Roland (Carol) Nelson.
