William “Bill” C. Lake, Sr., died unexpectedly Monday, March 4, 2019, in Pulaski, WI.  The son of Walter and Esther (Lantow) Lake was born December 14, 1941, in Toledo, OH, and he grew up on a farm in Marshall, Michigan.

Bill was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.  After his military service he attended Western Michigan University and graduated Summa Cum Laude.  Bill worked as a Certified Public Accountant and was also proud of his farm in Chassell, MI.  He enjoyed outdoor sports and was very well known for his love of bowling.

Survivors include his children: William C. (Denise) Lake, Jr., Raleigh, NC; Jennifer (Rodney) Irwin, Pulaski, WI, Amberly (Shane) Silkworth, Menominee, MI, Christopher (Autumn) Lake, Haslett, MI, and Kayleigh Lake, Hancock, MI; 12 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one brother, Robert (Judy) Lake, Marshall, MI; nieces and nephews; his special friend, Xing, Wuhan, China; other relatives and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents.

The celebration of Bill’s life took place at the American Legion Post 90 (“Lakes Lounge”) in Lake Linden, MI on Sunday, March 10th, from 1pm to 5 pm.
