Rudolph V. “Rudy” Kolodziej, 92, Krakow, passed away peacefully Monday, January 8, 2018. The son of the late Antone and Bertha (Dudko) Kolodziej was born September 18, 1925, in Duncanwood, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard from 1949-1952, and was a member of the 32nd Red Arrow Division. Rudy married Joyce Van Lannen and they made their home in Krakow. He worked for Schneider Trucking, Northern Shoe, and retired from Fort Howard.

Rudy loved playing musical instruments, especially the button accordion. He also enjoyed growing pumpkins and tinkering with his antique tractors.

Survivors include two children: Bryan (Gloria Schroeder) Kolodziej and Cynthia (Jim) Charniak; four grandchildren: Wendi (Jeff) Kabara, Josh (Heather) Kolodziej, Amanda (Nick Bopray) Charniak, and Austin Charniak; six great-grandchildren: Olivia and Zach Kabara, Cameron Carriveau, Wyatt, Jameson, and Henry Kolodziej; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sara, and two brothers: Alfred (Lillian) Kolodziej and Edwin (Bessie) Kolodziej.

The Funeral Service was celebrated at 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 12th at the funeral home, Rev. Steve Fewell officiating. Entombment took place in Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum, Green Bay.
