Robert Lyndon Hubbard, 87, Pulaski, died peacefully in his sleep at his daughter’s home Sunday, August 28, 2016. The son of Albert and Mary (Green) Hubbard was Hubbard Robert webborn August 2, 1929, in Stiles. Bob was a U.S. Army veteran, and proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict in the 187th Airborne from 1948-1952, and was awarded with a UN Korean service medal with four bronze service stars. On June 20, 1953, he married Hilma Johnson in Long Lake. The couple moved to the Pulaski area in 1956, where they made their home and raised their four girls. Hilma preceded Bob in death on September 9, 2014. Bob was involved with the boat manufacturing business for the majority of his working life. He had co-owned Badger Boats in Black Creek, and later worked for Carver Boat Corporation until his retirement.

He was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church in Pulaski, and shared his love of Jesus with others. Bob enjoyed fishing and riding his motor scooter with a group of friends. Bob’s hands were always busy, working on many projects. He could build anything from canoes to their family home, in which his family lived for over 50 years. Bob was an amateur food critic, especially when it came to Hilma’s cooking.

Survivors include four daughters: Carlene (David) Cichocki, Suamico, Roberta (Dan) Birr, Neenah, Julie (John) Ferfecki, Abrams, and Terri (Art) Lambert, Pulaski; her grandchildren: Jason (Amy) LaCount, Sarah (John) Cornish, Nathan (Lisa) Cichocki, Jennelle (Jason) Demler, Ben (Haley) Birr, Andrew (Kim) Birr, Keith Birr, Teal Schafer, Alexandra (Chris) Calewarts, Andrea Peot, Hailey Ferfecki, Jasmine Lambert, Jessica (Dylan) Ihler, John Lambert, Joshua Hubbard-Lambert, and Faith Lambert; his great-grandchildren: Tristan and Ashlyn LaCount, Avery and Aiden Diederich, Dakota Cornish, Maliha and Eliana Demler, Bella, Brielle, and Bowen Birr, Camron Grosskeurtz, Leevy Spangurd, and Andre, Jay, Izaac, and Judah Birr; three brothers-in-law: Gerald McQuisten, David (Betty) Johnson, and Herbert (Cindy) Peterson; and one sister-in-law, Ina (Don) Lamb.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Hilma; and four siblings: John (Madeline) Shepherd, Edna McQuisten, Earl (Evelyn) Hubbard, and Dixie Sheve.

The Funeral Service was celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 2nd at St. John Lutheran Church in Pulaski, Rev. Larry Yaw officiating. Burial with military honors by the Pulaski Area Veterans followed at Elm Grove Cemetery, Laney.
