Phyllis Pawelczyk, 87, Pulaski, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018, with her family at her side. The daughter of Joseph and Rose (Stefaniak) Styczynski was born June 20, 1931, at home in Maple Grove and attended Laney School. On October 12, 1963, Phyllis married Henry Pawelczyk at Holy Cross Polish National Catholic Church in Pulaski. The couple worked on the farm together. Henry preceded her in death at a young age. She worked various jobs in Milwaukee and Mosinee. After moving back to Pulaski, Phyllis worked at Northern Shoe Company and later for Vlasic in Bonduel and Allen Canning Company in Pulaski.

She was a member of the Polish Heritage Society. Phyllis enjoyed going to the Pulaski Senior Center. She liked to complete word search puzzles and spend time in her garden. Phyllis loved to cook and to bake. She was known for her blackberry brandy recipe. Spending time with her grandchildren was her favorite pastime.

Survivors include her children: Norman (Nancy) Pawelczyk and Colleen Walgurski; grandchildren: Matthew, Nathan, and Katelyn Walgurski, and Nicholas Pawelczyk; brothers and their spouses: Ralph (Suzanne) Styczynski, Alvin (Sherry) Styczynski, and Lavern (Dorothy) Styczynski; two sisters-in-law: Diane Pawelczyk and Emma Pawelczyk; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; parents, Joseph and Rose; Henry’s siblings: Tillie (Joseph) Kroll, Wanda (Joseph) Neklewicz, Edmund (Rose) Pawelczyk, Victoria (Edward) VanLanen, Evelyn (Casimir) Guzy, Florian Pawelczyk, and Lawrence Pawelczyk.

The Funeral Service was celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 22nd at the funeral home, Pastor Bob Wied officiating. Burial followed in Polish National Cemetery.
