Lillian Bulkowski, 100, Krakow, passed away in her sleep Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at Atrium Post Acute Care in Oconto Falls. The daughter of Peter and Verna (Mihalski) Rice was born September 4, 1918. Lillian worked for a factory in Racine where she helped manufacture military parts during World War II. On November 5, 1955, she married Theodore “Ted” Bulkowski at St. Casimir Church in Krakow. The couple owned and operated Ted’s Zephyr Service Station from 1959 until their retirement. Lillian also enjoyed helping her parents with Friday night fish fry at Pete’s Inn in Krakow. Lillian and Ted moved to Pulaski in 1989. The couple enjoyed ballroom dancing and had belonged to a dance club. Ted preceded Lillian in death on April 12, 2011.

Lillian was a member of St. Casimir Parish in Krakow. She liked quilting. Lillian also enjoyed entertaining her friends and family and always made big meals when she had company. Her greatest passion in life was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, John (Laurie) Bulkowski, Krakow; grandchildren: Chad (Jackie) Bulkowski, New Berlin, Brandon Bulkowski, Krakow, Karla Baumgartner, Texas, and Brian (Meghan) Bulkowski, De Pere; great-grandchildren: Lily, Carter, Jake, and Kate Baumgartner, all of Texas, Kate and Mae Bulkowski, De Pere, and Olivia Bulkowski, New Berlin; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted; one son, Peter Bulkowski; and one sister, Elizabeth Rice.

The Funeral Service was celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday at St. Casimir Church in Krakow, Fr. Patrick Gawrylewski, O.F.M., officiating. Burial followed in the parish cemetery.
