John Peter Kurzynski, 68, Pulaski, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2018. The son of Casimer and Florence (Brennan) Kurzynski was born May 13, 1950, in Fond du Lac. On January 19, 1974, he married Mary Doll at Sacred Heart Church in Fond du Lac. In 1974, the couple moved to Pulaski, where they raised their family. John had worked for Carver Yacht for 35 years as an engine installer, until his retirement in 2011.

He was a member of SS. Edward and Isidore Parish in Flintville, where he served as an usher and belonged to the Knights of Columbus, Council #10260. John had also been a member of the Pulaski Lions Club. He was an active volunteer with the Pulaski Community Pantry, and was currently a member of the Pantry’s Board of Directors. John enjoyed the time he volunteered with Cub Scouts Pack 4031, at the Pulaski Adult Activity Center, Lannoye Grade School, and with Brown County ADRC. He also volunteered as a driver with Curative Services. Helping other people, especially his sons, was important to John. He loved his family dearly, and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. John liked traveling, geocaching, and gardening.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; two sons: David (Dianne) Kurzynski and Brian Kurzynski; three grandchildren: Dawson and Dorothy, and Lucy Kurzynski; his father-in-law, Linus Doll; two brothers: Ronald (Debbie) Kurzynski and Edward Kurzynski; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: John Doll, Peter (Debbie) Doll, Theresa (Tim) Lewis, and Andy (Colleen) Doll; special friends: Dustin (Tracie Van Gheem-Rottier) Rottier and their children: Giselle, Garrett, and Gretchen; and Jean Giese; and his godchildren: Jen Memmel and Adam Kurzynski; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents and mother-in-law, Ruth Doll, John was preceded in death by two grandchildren: Derrick James Kurzynski and Drew Francis Kurzynski; and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Richard (Rosann) Doll.

The Funeral Mass was celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 13th at SS. Edward & Isidore Church, Flintville, Fr. David Hoffman presiding, with entombment in Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery, in Fond du Lac.
