Eugene M. Grzeskowiak, 68, Rosendale, formerly of Waunakee, died unexpectedly Saturday, September 2, 2017, at a Fond du Lac hospital, following a short illness. The son of Peter and Esther (Lasecki) Grzeskowiak was born March 2, 1949, in Pulaski, was a 1967 graduate of Pulaski High School, and married Jane in Fond du Lac in 1976.

Gene worked in Fond du Lac, Green Bay, and retired from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He was an avid Packers fan, win or lose. A true mechanic, Gene liked old cars and especially enjoyed going to car shows. He was a history buff, and would have been a great history teacher or museum curator. Gene also was interested in geography, and always had his atlas at his fingertips.

Survivors include his wife, Jane; one son and daughter-in-law: Kevin and Jana, and their son, Victor, Florida; one daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Norman, Arizona; four sisters: Margaret Danz, Green Bay, Joan (Gerald) Smurawa, Pulaski, Alice (Don) Budzban, Green Bay, and Patricia (Jerry) Vandersteen, Suamico; nieces and nephews.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister, Arlene; a brother, Donald; and a brother-in-law, John Danz.

The Funeral Mass was celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 8th at Assumption Church in Pulaski, Fr. Patrick Gawrylewski, O.F.M., presiding, followed by military honors by the Pulaski Area Veterans.
