Dolores Nowak, 89, Krakow, died Saturday, April 28, 2018, with her family at her side. The daughter of Walter and Mary (Grzeskowiak) Kowalkowski was born August 23, 1928, in Pulaski. On August 21, 1948, she married Robert Nowak at Assumption B.V.M. Church in Pulaski. The couple moved to Krakow where they farmed and raised their family.

Dolores was a longtime member of St. Casimir Parish, where she had served as a member and past president of the Altar Rosary Society. She was a great cook and was an extremely hard worker. Dolores enjoyed growing her own strawberries and chatting with those whom she shared her harvest. She was a social butterfly and loved dancing (especially Polka dancing). Dolores liked playing cards and bingo and taking trips to the casino.

Survivors include three children: Linda (Dennis) Schwartz, Krakow, Daryl (Shari) Nowak, Krakow, and Bonnie (Randy) Lasecki, Pulaski; six grandsons: Lee (Cara) Schwartz, Craig (Katie) Schwartz, Dan (Jamie) Nowak, Bryan (Roxanne) Nowak, Chad Lasecki, and Cory (Julia) Lasecki; 16 great-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law: Florence Kowalkowski, Alice Kowalkowski, Mayme Nowak, and Chester (Jackie) Nowak; other relatives and friends.

Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, on December 1, 2006; an infant granddaughter, Kelly Nowak; and numerous brothers, sisters, and in-laws.

The Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at Assumption B.V.M. Church, Pulaski, Fr. Patrick Gawrylewski, O.F.M., presiding. Entombment took place in Allouez Catholic Mausoleum.
