Barbara J. Martin, 74, DePere, died peacefully Friday morning, August 4, 2017. The daughter of Anton and Josephine (Konopka) Spychalski was born March 16, 1943, in Pulaski and was a 1961 graduate of Pulaski High School. After graduation, Barbara moved to Milwaukee where she worked at Oil Gear. She met Robert Martin and the couple made their home in Milwaukee until Robert retired, at which time they moved to Arizona. Bob passed away in 1997 and Barb moved back to the Green Bay area in 2009.

She loved music and especially enjoyed dancing. Barb was a fun-loving person, and was always ready to have a good time. She had a special place in her heart for animals, and often had several pets in her home.

Survivors include two sisters-in-law: Barbara L. Spychalski, Two Rivers, and Bernice Spychalski, Milwaukee; a special niece and caregiver, Amy Spychalski, Green Bay, nieces and nephews; Bob’s daughter, Jackie, Milwaukee; her dear friends: Norma Nelson, Suamico, Barb Selsmeyer, Howard, and Sr. Alesia Martin, Rosemead, CA; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, on October 12, 1997; and five brothers: Joe, Leonard, Tony, Jr., Eugene, and Casey Spychalski.

The Funeral Mass was celebrated at Assumption B.V.M. Church, Pulaski, at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 17, 2017, Fr. Patrick Gawrylewski, O.F.M. presiding. Entombment will take place in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Milwaukee, at a later date.
