Allan A. Westphal, 71, Morgan, died peacefully following a short illness on Friday, March 31, 2017, with his family at his side. The son of the late Adolph and Hildegarde (Krause) Westphal was born June 8, 1945, in Green Bay and was a 1963 graduate of Oconto Falls High School. Al was a US Army veteran (Sp. 5) of the Vietnam War, and served in Germany. After his discharge he worked at the Morgan Co-op Dairy and began his dream of farming. On December 12, 1970, he married Janice Stoll in Oconto Falls. The couple raised their family and farmed in the town of Morgan. After retiring from the farm in 2007, he worked at the Pulaski Chase Co-op, Vern’s Hardware in Pulaski, and the Morgan Recycling Center.

Allan lived by the Golden Rule and always had time for others. He took great pride in his work, his farm and his family. He had a new found interest in fishing and particularly loved his grandchildren. Al will be remembered for his generosity and integrity and will be missed by those whose lives he touched through mentoring, wisdom and conversation. People stopped for a visit and left with a feeling of satisfaction and enlightenment. He took great enjoyment in problem solving and helping all he came to know.

Survivors include his wife, Janice; two daughters and sons-in-law and five grandchildren: Lesly (Roger) Evert, New Berlin, and their children, Daniel and Amelia; Lynnette (Darren) Peterson, Denmark, and their children, Charlie, Sam, and Jenna; Janice’s siblings, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Judith Ann.

The Funeral Service was celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 8th at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Morgan, Rev. Lloyd Luedeman officiating.
