Agnes Margaret Socha, 82, Pulaski, passed away Friday, September 14, 2018, after a valiant battle with Parkinson’s disease. The daughter of Mathias and Mary Rosella (Wallace) Sprangers was born June 25, 1936, in Combined Locks. On October 5, 1957, Agnes married Stanley Socha, the love of her life, at St. Mary’s Church in Algoma. Stanley and Agnes made their home and raised their family in Pulaski.

Agnes was a faith-filled member of Assumption B.V.M. Parish in Pulaski. She quietly served others by cooking for funerals and weddings, helping at the Parish Produce Wagon, and counting the weekend envelopes at church. Agnes had a delightful smile and great sense of humor. She loved her family deeply, was a great cook, and always made the holidays a special time. She enjoyed crocheting, bowling, traveling, and playing slots. Agnes played a wicked game of Sheepshead and made great Old-Fashioneds. One of her passions was knitting and crocheting hundreds of hats for newborn babies, which she donated to area hospitals. Agnes was a very “with-it” 80 year old, who loved staying connected with family and friends with her iPad on Facebook. She also enjoyed exploring Pinterest. She was a determined warrior, the family matriarch, and Stanley’s number one angel.

Survivors include her husband, Stanley; three daughters and two sons-in-law: Jean Slezewski, Pulaski, Diane (Raymond) Peters, Green Bay, Janet (Tony) Klaubauf, Denmark; grandchildren: Alexander and Maggie Slezewski, Laura (Jason) Peters-Shimko, Katie Peters, and Adam (Holly) Peters, Collin and Benjamin Klaubauf; three great-grandchildren: Bennett, Emma, and Nora Peters; one sister, Margaret Foley; one brother, Patrick (Judy) Sprangers; five sisters-in-law: Shirley Sprangers, Jean Sprangers, Betty Sprangers, Norma Socha, and Alice Socha; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Steven Slezewski; one sister, Dorothy (Elmer) Schmit; 10 brothers: Ray (Julia), Daniel, Matthias, Edward, Myron (Dorothy), Florian (Janis), Hilary (Shirley), Gerald, Thomas, and Joseph (Clara) Sprangers.

The Funeral Mass was celebrated at 11:00 a.m. September 18, 2018, at Assumption B.V.M. Church, Pulaski, Fr. Patrick Gawrylewski, O.F.M. presiding.
